Mao’s Last Dancer to speak at AusMedtech
Tuesday, 24 April, 2012
Li Cunxin, whose famed autobiography documented (in book and on film) his extraordinary rise from bitter poverty in China, to be a world-renown ballet dancer, later defected to the US and eventually settled in Australia. So what’s the connection to medtech?
The celebrity, now Bionics Institute director and Melbourne stockbroker, is a passionate advocate for medical research, after his daughter was found to have a profound hearing loss in early childhood and was the recipient of a cochlear implant.
Register now for AusMedtech 2012, supported by the NSW Government, which is again expected to attract record delegate numbers to attend, further cementing its place as Australia’s largest medical technology conference.
The event, to be held from 14 – 15 May 2012 at the Four Seasons Hotel, 199 George Street, Sydney, last year attracted more than 300 delegates. The Conference Dinner, included in every full registration, will feature special guest speaker, Li Cunxin. Dinner tickets can be purchased separately for $160.
Li’s experiences are real, his journey is incredible and he is a living example of overcoming adversity and achieving excellence in life. Li will share his extraordinary experiences with you and also why he supports medical technology and bionics.
AusMedtech is a highly-specialised annual conference for medtech executives, bringing together key stakeholders of the Australian and international medical devices and diagnostics sector, to discuss the major issues in global medtech success.
This year’s conference includes the second annual Medtech Investment Summit, featuring 15 company presentations to investors, again open to all conference delegates to attend.
Partnership and exhibition opportunities are available. For more information, please visit the conference website at www.ausmedtech.com.au.
