Nanosonics (ASX:NAN) has won the Emerging Exporter award at the 50th annual Premier's NSW Export Awards.
The disinfection technology company was among 29 award winners during yesterday's event.
As a winner of one of the twelve National Award categories, Nanosonics will automatically be entered as state finalists into the national Australian Export Awards.
During its 50 years in existence, around 350 companies have won a NSW Export Award.
This year's ceremony was held at the Sydney Exhibition and Events Centre in Darling Harbor, and presided over by NSW Premier Barry O'Farrell.
Nanosonics revealed in August that it had nearly tripled its revenue for FY12, thanks to strong sales of its lead product Trophon EPR, an ultrasound high-level disinfection system for hospitals and other healthcare facilities.
Exclusive North American distribution partner GE Healthcare placed its first orders for the cabinets for the US and Canadian market during the financial year.
Nanosonics (ASX:NAN) shares were trading 1.96% lower at $0.500 as of around 2:30pm on Friday.
