Nominations called for Janssen 2012 Industry Excellence Awards

Janssen & AusBiotech are pleased to announce that the Janssen 2012 Industry Excellence Awards, in three categories, are now open for nominations.
The Awards will be announced at AusBiotech 2012 national conference’s welcome reception – to be held in Melbourne on 29 October 2012.
The Janssen 2012 Industry Excellence Awards will be awarded to individuals and organisations that have made a significant contribution to the biotechnology industry, and through their leadership, continue to make a difference to the growth of the bio-economy.
Industry Leadership Award
This awards seeks candidates who have already have made a significant difference to the industry and have a commitment to life sciences/biotechnology that often goes beyond their ‘job description’. Candidates will be known for their passion, enthusiasm and commitment to the industry in Australia.Company of the Year Award
The ‘Company of the Year’ will be awarded to a company that has demonstrated significant achievement/s, and may include any company working in biotechnology or life sciences, including but not limited to the medical diagnostics or devices, pharmaceutical, agricultural sectors. Criteria for companies may include deals done, product pipeline, IP, company strategy and/or revenue.Emerging Company of the Year Award
The ‘Emerging Company of the Year’ award will be based on the same criteria as above, but be specific to companies under five years of age.Nominations close Friday 28 September 2012 and details can be found at the AusBiotech 2012 website.
