ResMed addresses takeover rumours
Tuesday, 01 July, 2008
ResMed (ASX:RMD) responded today to reports in The Age and Australian Financial Review newspapers of a rumoured takeover bid by Germany's Linde Group.
In a statement to the stock exchange, ResMed said it had a policy of not commenting on market rumours, but also told the ASX the company was not aware of any information it was required to disclose to the market.
ResMed's disclosure follows reports in The Age of rumours that the company "is being stalked by industrial and medical gas giants the Linde Group", and in the Australian Financial Review referring to "rumours of an agreed cash bid". Both reports were published today.
