Sophion Bioscience QPatch II automated patch clamp system
QPatch, by Sophion Bioscience, is an automated patch clamp solution for cardiac safety and advanced electrophysiology. QPatch II builds on the legacy of its predecessor but has been completely redeveloped to fulfil the requirements of even the most efficient ion-channel laboratory.
Featuring 48 parallel recording channels and an easy-to-use interface with predefined assay protocols, the system takes less than 10 min to learn how to operate. The new core engine is also more powerful, with a larger internal memory and easy access to the USB ports.
The control software has been designed to offer fast precise operation that provides consistent, high-quality data. The amplifiers allow experiments with both single-hole and multi-hole patch clamping, as well as voltage clamp and current clamp applications.
The instrument design offers a small footprint for easy laboratory placement and a simplified work plane that provides good robustness, with a cell handling unit that prepares fresh batches of cells for unattended patch clamp recordings. Other new features include preinstalled CiPA protocols and corresponding analysis templates.
