A summit to clean up industry
Leading international scientists will join top Australian industry executives in a national summit, for three days commencing on 24 June, to discuss how to clean up and prevent future contamination.
The summit, titled Contamination Clean-up 07, will be held at the Hilton Hotel in Adelaide and will combine the third International Contaminated Sites conference with the first Australian Industry Contamination summit.
The contaminated sites conference will focus on urgent issues including risks to human health from contamination, emerging contaminants and new technologies for risk assessment and clean-up.
The industry summit will explore current and emerging issues in contamination, who has the liability for clean-up, business opportunities in clean-up and gaining community support.
The conferences are sponsored by the CRC for Contamination Assessment and Remediation of the Environment.
