Academy awards and grants - nominations open

Nominations are now open for the Australian Academy of Science's Awards for Scientific Excellence and Grants for International Travel.
The awards recognise distinguished research performance by scientists. They include awards for younger researchers as well as senior awards for those who have made mojor contributions over their working lives.
The Academy also supports research conferences that focus on rapidly developing fields of research, and travelling fellowships.
The Academy is Australia's National Member of the International Council for Sciences and offers grants-in-aid for Australian researchers to undertake collaborative research.
These programs are administered by the Academy and funded by the Department of Education, Science and Training's International Science and Technology Networks.
