Biochemistry awards for ANU staff

Two of the three annual awards made by the Australian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology have gone to staff of the ANU this year.
Professor Philip Board, Head of the Division of Molecular Medicine at the John Curtin School of Medical Research, has been awarded the Lemberg Medal, which is awarded each year to a distinguished Austalian biochemist or molecular biologist.
Prof. Kiaran Kirk, Head of the School of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in the Faculty of Science, has been awarded the Roche Medal, which is awarded to an Australian biochemist or molecular biologist with no more than 15 years post-doctoral experience.
Both will receive their medals and present lectures at the annual conference of the Society to be held in Sydney later this year.
