CSIRO fund cuts

The CSIRO staff association has issued a caution about funding levels.

According to the CSIRO Staff Association Council, a division of the Commonwealth Public Sector Union, the science and technology research organisation faces an uncertain future without increased funding.

Sandy Ross, association secretary, claims that the CSIRO can only perform a productive role for Australia if it has a sufficient revenue base.
