Farmers need more information about GMOs

Farmers should be provided with more information to allow them to make informed choices with regard to the introduction of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) into their production systems, according to a new report from the Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation.
The report, titled Genetically Modified Plants - Farm and Resource Management Issues, has made 12 key recommendations with regard to the management of GMOs as they are introduced into Australian agriculture. The recommendations and details of how to obtain the report are available online here.
