National Measurement Laboratory developments

The National Measurement Laboratory is seeking comment on a series of proposed new areas of activity. As part of this exercise, comment is being sought on industry interests in several areas listed below.
Comment are sought on the relevance of the following activities:
- Nanometrology "“ development of standards and calibration services;
- Increased interaction with the electrical power industry;
- Specialised services for calibration;
- Consulting opportunities in industry sectors requiring calibration or other measurement services;
- Opportunities for co-investment in standards development and testing facilities;
- Metrology in chemistry "“ gas mixtures;
- Electronic Transaction Time Stamping;
- Links to defence and defence-related industry; and
- Opportunities, industry needs, and marketing strategies to support technology transfer.
