Thermo LabSystems acquires Galactic Industries

In a move that enhances its position in the laboratory data management market, Thermo LabSystems has announced that it has acquired Galactic Industries, the spectroscopy software solutions company.
Galactic Industries has become Thermo Galactic and joins Thermo LabSystems as part of the Informatics Division of Thermo Electron's Life Sciences Sector.
Thermo Galactic will continue to develop desktop spectroscopy solutions. Galactic's products are used in the pharmaceutical, chemical, academic, consumer products, and food industries.
