Field Monitoring Instruments

The Photovac family of analytical instruments, including the Photovac 2020 PID, the MicroFID, and the Voyager portable gas chromatograph (GC), offers superior detection, monitoring, and identification of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). In addition, the Photovac family of instrumentation is easy to use, contains powerful integrated data logging software, and is humidity-compensated.

The Voyager portable GC offers rugged reliability and increased time-savings. Rechargeable and field-replaceable batteries, as well as a refillable carrier gas cylinder, allow up to eight hours of independent on-site or field use, or the option to operate off external AC or DC sources. The Voyager is also configurable for different industries, containing up to six application assays, including environmental, petrochemical/refining, ABS rubber, pulp and paper, surfactants and sterilants, and latex polymers. In addition, the Voyager offers users the option to inject gaseous samples manually by syringe or point and press to use the built-in pump and sampling port.

The Photovac 2020 PID utilises photoionisation technology to detect VOCs in air, soil, and groundwater within seconds. Samples are drawn into the instrument through an internal pump, and results, within the operating range of 0.5 to 2000 ppm, are displayed on a built-in LCD. Stored data is easily downloaded to a PC using Windows Hyperterminal.

For accurate, reliable detection of VOCs in fugitive emissions or environmental applications, the Photovac MicroFID is a small and light data logging flame ionisation detector (FID). The instrument displays and logs data in less than three seconds within the concentration range of 0.1 to 50,000 ppm and can operate for as long as 15 hours. In addition, the Optional Star 21 Software makes the MicroFID instrument an efficient, easy method for monitoring EPA Method 21 Fugitive Emissions.
