Microscope ring illuminators

Monday, 19 May, 2003 | Supplied by: Fibreoptic Lightguides

Fibreoptic Lightguides' range of microscope ring illuminators has been expanded to include a six spot ringlight.

Ringlights offer 360° of shadow-free uniform high intensity illumination and are used in microscopy systems, photography, inspection, machine vision and various applications where intense lighting is required in tight areas. Together with a quartz halogen light source, the ringlight provides an effective means of distributing high levels of cold light to remote locations. They are also effective in reducing specular reflections and/or glare on an object.

The 1 m fibre optic arm is protected in a flexible PVC sheath and the ringlight body is made of a tough black Delrin material. The ringlight can be mounted onto most camera lenses and microscopes, using appropriate mounting adapters.
