Anasys Instruments nanoIR2 nanoscale infrared spectroscopy

Wednesday, 13 May, 2015 | Supplied by: SciTech Pty Ltd

Anasys Instruments has introduced the nanoIR2 nanoscale infrared spectroscopy solution. It combines the nanoscale spatial resolution capabilities of atomic force microscopy (AFM) with infrared (IR) spectroscopy to characterise and identify chemical species.

The product is an easy-to-use and powerful multifunctional platform with a full-featured AFM and nanoscale thermal and mechanical analysis. The system features top-side illumination, which expands the range of samples that can be studied. The unit is designed and built for productivity and rapid time to results.

The product offers rich, interpretable IR spectra, with its resonance enhanced mode enabling nanoscale IR on <20 nm films. It is suitable for organic materials, which include but are not limited to polymeric multilayer films, polymer blends, biological specimens, fibres, single particle analysis, chemical analysis of semiconductor devices, organic nanocontaminants on metal services and life science and pharmaceutical applications.
