MGI DNBSEQ-T1+ mid-throughput sequencer

MGI’s DNBSEQ-T1+ is a next-generation mid-throughput sequencer that completes a paired end 150 sequencing workflow in just 24 h with Q40 accuracy. With three flow cell formats, 2–4 addressable lanes on each flow cell and dual independent flow cell operation, the product is designed to provide increased data output with reduced turnaround time, enabling increased lab efficiency and flexibility.

With a throughput range of 25–1200 Gb and a maximum capacity exceeding 1 Tb daily, the benchtop sequencer allows laboratories to reduce the time to result that is important in a range of settings. Its integrated auto-DNB making and loading capabilities enable a straightforward, user-friendly workflow. Its design provides the flexibility to process multiple samples independently without requiring barcodes; leverage independent flow cell lanes; and start the sequencing workflow in less than 10 min with minimal hands-on time.

The product’s sub-24-hour sequencing run time for PE150 read lengths enables laboratories to maximise their output while retaining flexibility and control across various laboratory settings. This makes it suitable for a wide range of genomic applications, such as whole genome sequencing, single cell, spatial, oncology, rare disease and metagenomics.

The internal design of the instrument has been optimised, reducing the number of reagents required for sequencing. Additionally, coupled with high-density flow cells, the product allows small and mid-sized laboratories to achieve the typical cost per Gb of a production-scale sequencer.
