PerkinElmer has released a food industry-specific version of its Labworks Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) package. Labworks foodLIMS simplifies data management and integrates with tracing software to support compliance with regulatory requirements including The BioTerrorism Act of 2002, which requires food and beverage producers to trace their products both backward into the supply chain and forward through the distribution system.
