Automated dual reduction index furnace
06 April, 2009 byModutemp has combined several previously separate apparatuses to create a comprehensive, automated dual reduction index furnace. This furnace provides qualitative analysis of iron ore samples for reducibility. Chemists will now have the ability to extrapolate precise weight variations as a function of temperature, when measuring the percentage of reduction (loss of oxygen) in a parcel of ore.
Rapid ashing systems
06 April, 2009 byThe Phoenix line of microwave-powered muffle furnaces can be used to ash samples in minutes. Available in two configurations with a variety of options, the system offers a choice of either a high-temperature furnace, reaching 1200°C, or a high-capacity furnace, reach 1000°C.
High-temperature XRD system
06 April, 2009 byPANalytical has released a capillary extension that is compatible with the combined X’Pert Pro MPD/HTK 1200N High-Temperature Oven Chamber (Anton Paar) system, creating a ‘two-in-one’ reflection and transmission high-temperature XRD system.
Microwave reaction system
06 April, 2009 byUp to 40 high-pressure vessels per run can be processed with the MarsXpress High-Throughput Microwave Reaction System from CEM. MarsXpress offers intelligent and adaptive continuous temperature and pressure feedback control for all vessels all the time without the need for temperature and pressure connections.
Transportable incubators
09 March, 2009CryoLogic is an Australian manufacturer of portable incubators used for transporting biological samples at a constant temperature from one facility to another.
Three-scale temperature monitor
01 December, 2008Warner Instruments has introduced a three-scale thermometer for accurate temperature measurement.
Non-contact temperature sensor
01 December, 2008The PyroEpsilon series non-contact temperature sensors measure the temperature of inaccessible or moving objects and materials. They can measure temperatures from -20 to +500 °C, accurately and consistently, with a response time of 240 ms.
Programmable temperature spray chamber
06 July, 2007The Glass Expansion IsoMist programmable temperature spray chamber for ICP-MS and ICP-OES features electronically controlled temperature using an in-built peltier device.
Overheating protection
12 January, 2007Available as standard on HT Series II and Mega evaporation systems, SampleGuard temperature control can be used to protect samples from any possibility of overheating when evaporation is complete.
Programmable muffle furnaces
09 October, 2006All-Lab Scientific is the Australian distributor for the Daihan range of programmable muffle furnaces which range from 3 to 63 L in capacity. The muffle furnaces are suitable for ash-determinations, enamelling, fusions, ignitions and performing precipitate drying.
Microwave assisted organic synthesis
11 November, 2005Anton Paar now offers an instrument for microwave-assisted organic synthesis. The Synthos 3000 is specially designed for the production of chemical compounds in the multigram range.
Large capacity autoclaves
11 November, 2005The Varioklav 65T Steam Steriliser from H+P has a deep square chamber so the total usable capacity is increased over the conventional round chamber design. The 65T can hold up to 18 x 1 L round laboratory flasks at one time. On top of this, the bench design allows smarter use of space.
Hotplate stirrer
20 September, 2004The Arex hotplate stirrer from Velp Scientifica can be connected to a Vertex fuzzy logic thermoregulator to create a system for the direct control of the temperature of stirred liquids.
Portable autoclaves
15 May, 2004The Dixons range of port-able autoclaves has been designed for safety and reliability; yet is simple to use and easy to maintain.
